Everyone on the coast goes through Silverdale. I am ten minutes up the road in Stanmore Bay, so I am in and out of it most weeks anyway, which makes it one of the easier places for me to fit a job in.
What Silverdale does to a car
Silverdale is where the coast meets the motorway, and cars here do more kilometres than most. A daily run over the bridge leaves a film on the paint and brake dust baked onto the wheels, and neither of those comes off with a wash. They need lifting.
Park and ride vehicles are out in the open from seven in the morning until six at night, collecting pollen, bird mess and whatever the weather brings, then going home in the dark where nobody sees it until Saturday.
Work vehicles are their own thing again. Utes and vans out of the business park carry tools, dust, quick bite wrappers and crumbs and a lot of hours, and the inside usually needs more attention than the outside.

Everything happens where the vehicle already is. I turn up with all the gear and the products and the car does not move.
