A basic clean will usually remove surface-level dirt and leave your vehicle looking tidy—but it doesn’t actually care for or protect your car. In fact, many standard car washes can cause long-term damage to your paintwork, ultimately reducing the lifespan and value of your vehicle.

This depends on the level of service and condition of the vehicle. Typically a full service takes about 4-8 hours.

Every 3-6 months is ideal to keep your car in top condition for most customers depending on how much usage your vehicle gets, however some services such as polishing are not required more than once every 1-2 years

It depends on the depth of the scratch. Light surface scratches and swirl marks can often be fully removed or significantly reduced through our cut and polish / paint correction process, which is included in our Best Man package. Deeper scratches that have cut through to the primer or metal will require a respray and are beyond the scope of detailing. When in doubt, book a consultation and we'll give you an honest assessment before any work begins.

Yes — and it's actually one of the best times to do it. Auckland winters bring road grime, mud, and moisture that attack your paint and cause long-term oxidisation. A protective wax or hydrophobic coating applied before or during winter creates a barrier against the elements and makes your car far easier to keep clean. Don't wait for summer to protect your vehicle.

Light rain is generally fine for interior work, which makes up the bulk of most of our packages. For exterior work like polishing, waxing, and paint correction, we typically need dry conditions to achieve proper results. If the forecast is going to cause a problem, we'll contact you in advance and reschedule at no charge. Auckland weather can be unpredictable, so we keep flexibility built into our calendar.

Mobile car detailing with Groomsmen starts at $250 for the Basic Groom, $375 for the Classic Groom, and $600 for the Best Man full detail, all inclusive of GST. A ceramic coating is from $599.99. Occasionally the price changes if the car’s condition differs from what was disclosed at booking, which is why we usually ask for a photo of the interior beforehand so we can be sure the package you have chosen covers the time needed to clean it properly.

The Basic Groom ($250) is a tidy-up wash and light interior clean for regular maintenance. The Classic Groom ($375) adds a full interior clean and deeper exterior work, and is our most popular choice for family cars. The Best Man ($600) is a full interior and exterior detail with a cut and polish paint enhancement, ideal for pre-sale prep or enthusiast vehicles.

We recommend booking a few days ahead so we can work around the weather. We can often fit you in within the week, and sometimes on weekends if that suits you better. Book online anytime and pick a slot that works for you.

Yes, we detail all vehicle types including SUVs, utes, vans, 4×4s and enthusiast cars. Larger or heavily soiled vehicles can take longer and may carry a small size or condition adjustment, which we confirm with you before starting.

Yes, we detail EVs and hybrids. It is the same careful interior and exterior detail as any other vehicle, and because we are fully mobile we come to you, so there is no need to interrupt your charging routine.

Our ceramic coating gives two to three years of protection from a single application. We use CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0, applied on-site after proper paint decontamination and correction. It locks in gloss, deepens the colour and makes every future wash quicker and gentler on your paint.
