Red Beach is the closest area I work in. I am five minutes down the road in Stanmore Bay, which makes it the easiest place on the coast for me to get to and usually the quickest to get booked.
Living this close to the water costs the car something
Salt does not need you to go in the water. Living this close to it means it is on the paint whether the car left the driveway or not, and it works away at the trim and the alloys all year rather than just over summer.
Then there is the gear that comes back. Wet togs, sandy towels, a wetsuit that never quite dries and whatever came off the trailer all end up in the boot, and a damp boot with sand in the carpet is how a car starts to smell before anyone can say why.
The car does not have to be dirty to be carrying all of it. That is the part people are surprised by.

Everything happens in your driveway. I arrive with all the gear and the products, and all I need is access to an outdoor tap and a standard power point.
Because Red Beach is five minutes from home for me, it is the area where I can most often fit someone in at short notice. If you need something before the weekend it is worth asking.
Keeping it that way
Living by the water means the car goes backwards faster than it does inland, so a lot of people out here would rather not go back to square one every year.
Once a car has had a full detail, keeping it there is a much smaller job than doing it again. That is what the six week maintenance visit is for, at $125 a visit.
